Students tried their hand at working in the beauty industry as they studied at the state of the art, bespoke hair and beauty salons at Adam Smith College.
Students celebrate achieving Certificate Skills for Working in the Hair and Beauty Industry.
Twenty-one students took part in the 18-week Certificate Skills for Working in the Hair and Beauty Industry course at the College’s facilities in Kirkland High School and Community College and St Brycedale Campus in Kirkcaldy. The course aimed to give the students an introduction to both hair and beauty helping them to focus on their future career options.
Laura Hall (16) from Newburgh said: “I really enjoyed doing this course as it made me realise that I actually preferred beauty rather than the hair side of the industry. I’m really looking forward to starting the NC Beauty which starts in September.”
Lorraine Cusick, Curriculum Head at the College said: “This course is perfect for prospective students who know they want to work in the hair and beauty industry but are not quite sure in what area. By giving them elements of both hair and beauty it allows the students to identify their particular strengths, helping them to make the right decision about continuing their studies or going straight to work in hair or beauty salons.”
