Children at the Rainbow Nursery in Dalgety Bay are getting green fingered thanks to Prince’s Trust students at Adam Smith College.
They are now the proud owners of a new environmentally friendly greenhouse as a result of the hard work of the College students.
The ‘Team 28’ students, who are just about to complete their 12 week programme, chose the nursery as part of their community project. They raised funds to buy extra materials for the structure through a car wash at Kirkcaldy Fire Station and recycled plastic bottles to make the handsome structure.
Mhairi Winton, Team Leader of Prince’s Trust at Adam Smith College said: “The students really enjoyed this project and it’s great that the children have got something they can use and even better that the students recycled the bottles to make it. The nursery had also purchased climbing frames and the students relished the task of erecting these as well.”
