Student ambassadors for Adam Smith Business Club, Farhan Ahmed and Fiona Gunnemann, have been busy promoting the Club’s calendar of events to their fellow students.
Launched last year, the Business Club was recognised early this year as ‘Excellent Practice’ by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIE). It offers a great opportunity for students to meet regularly with business leaders and hear first hand their industry experiences and expertise.
At the regular and focused Business Club events, students not only gain valuable real life insight into different industries and business specialisms but they have the chance to network with the guest speakers.
Farhan (17) from Glenrothes and Fiona (56) from Kirkcaldy are both studying HND Legal Services at the College’s Priory Campus in Kirkcaldy and have no hesitation in promoting the merits of the Club to their fellow students.
Fiona said: “This is the second year I’ve been attending the Business Club and I would encourage any student interested to come along. It was through the Club that I secured a great internship with CRUSE, the UK’s largest bereavement charity.
“Adam Smith Business Club is a great way to meet other students and of course to benefit from the knowledge and experience of the guest speakers.”
