Voices were in fine tune at the annual Adam Smith College Carol Service and all for a great cause.
Staff, students and members of the public joined together to celebrate Christmas in the Old Kirk, Kirk Wynd in Kirkcaldy on Friday 23 December.
Two choirs, the College Staff Choir and Theatre Student Choir, were the highlight of the service, performing moving renditions of Christmas favourites including:’ O’Holy Night’, ‘Little Donkey’ and ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’.
A collection was made during the service raising £500 for the charity CHAS and Rachel House, Kinross which follows on from an excellent concert given by the students at Rachel House recently.
The service ended with a warm Christmas message from Reverend John Thomson.
After the service everyone enjoyed mince pies in the College’s St Brycedale Campus and a cheque was presented to Garson Gillis, representative of CHAS by Bob Cunningham, Chair of the College Association.
David Astill, Director of International Business Development , who organised the service, said: “What a fantastic way to celebrate the festive season – it is great to see so many staff members and students come together at the start of their Christmas holidays. Both choirs were of an extremely high standard and it was fantastic to welcome our Theatre Student Choir to this annual service for the first time, they were exceptional.”
