Introduction to Engineering Get Ready for Work

SCQF Level 3

This Get Ready for Work Programme will introduce you to a variety of Engineering related disciplines.

What You Study

This course is designed so that students learn from practical experience in an engineering environment, rather than formal study. Students will achieve certificates based on the skills they master during their practical exercises. The practical exercises will be in subject areas from the following list:

  • Fabrication and Welding
  • Design and Make
  • Motor Vehicle Maintenance
  • Plumbing Skills
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Communication

You may also gain work experience with an employer.

Duration and Attendance

26 weeks

Entry Requirements

Candidates must be referred from Careers Scotland.
