HNC 3D Design (incorporating Interior Design)
This course is now well established. You will be researching and developing a broad range of interior design projects including live interior and building refurbishment projects in the local area. This course aims to allow you to develop practical design skills using industry standard techniques. There is a strong emphasis on freehand and technical drawing skills and you will also develop design projects using CAD technology. You will use up-to-date hardware and software facilities within the specialist interior design studios. Personal development sketchbooks will be produced throughout the course. All projects will use 3-Dimensional Model Making and Concept Visualisation Skills. Communication and Contextual Studies will be integrated with ongoing design work.

Duration and Attendance
- HNC – One Year Full-time with Part-time/Infill Opportunities
- HND – Two Years Full-time with Part-time/Infill Opportunities or Three Years Part-time Study
This course is offered as a one year HNC or two year HND. Entry requirements are the same for both.
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- 2 Highers including English, Art and Design and/or Craft and Design. Graphic Communication, Maths, History, Economics or Modern Studies would be accepted in lieu of English
- Relevant NQ course
- Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
AND
- A suitable portfolio of Art and Design
