HNC Fitness Health and Exercise
This course will give you an excellent grounding if your ambition is to work in the Fitness industry, either as an Instructor, Personal Trainer or a Health and Fitness Advisor. This is an active course and would suit you if you have a keen interest in this area and already participate regularly in exercise.

- Nutrition for Fitness, Health and Exercise
- Health and Safety in the Workplace
- First Aid
- Work Experience
- Gym Instructor (SVQ Level 2)
- Exercise to Music (SVQ Level 2)
Duration and Attendance
One Year Full-time or Two Years Part-time
Entry Requirements
- 2 Highers at Grade C or above including English and 7 Standard Grades at Level 3 or above (including Human Biology)
- Reference to support your application
- Offer is subject to successful outcome at the recruitment day
OR
- Pass a Sport and Fitness related course at Level 6 (16 specified credits)
- Reference to support your application
- Offer is subject to successful outcome at the recruitment day
AND
- Students must also be accepted as a PVG scheme member through the College system. Placements cannot be started without this (see Disclosure Scotland for more information about the Protection of Vulnerable Groups)
