The HNC Health Care is an integrated programme of practice and theory which gives you the opportunity to gain the skills required to work effectively in a wide range of Health Care settings.

Work Experience
Students undertake a work placement within a range of Health Care settings for two days per week. This enables participants to gain direct experience of working with individuals within the Health Care sector.
All students will be asked to give consent for a criminal record check to be carried out by Disclosure Scotland. No placement experience can be organised without a satisfactory report.
Duration and Attendance
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- 1 relevant Higher at Grade C or above (preferably English) and 4 Standard Grades at Credit level
- Related NQ course
- Care experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
AND
- Attendance at group information session
- Acceptable Disclosure Scotland Check
Further Study
- Progression route to degrees/diplomas in nursing and professions allied to medicine
- BA Mental Health and Counselling at the University of Abertay Dundee
- Nursing or Midwifery Degree
