HNC Interactive Media (incorporating Web Design and Development)
This new course keeps pace with the demands of the dynamic and fast moving Interactive Multimedia industry by ensuring that students are introduced to the latest skills, technologies and working practices.
The new generation of mobile platforms coupled with the prevalence of the Internet opened up the lucrative markets of games development and educational applications providing opportunities for skilled individuals, who can develop both online and offline digital media.
You will learn how to plan, design and implement a range of different web site solutions using HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash professional CS5, Photoshop and Flex. You will also develop dynamic, data driven websites.
What You Study
- Data Driven Website Development
- Client Side Scripting
- CD ROM/DVD Creation
- User Interface Design
- Website Development using HTML
- SQL
- Website Developing using Software Packages such as Dreamweaver, Flash, ASP, PHP, 3D Studio Max and Java
Duration and Attendance
- HNC - One Year Full-time or Two Years Part-time
- Day release and evening study options are also available subject to demand
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- 1 Higher in a relevant subject and 4 Standard Grades at Grade 2 or above
- Relevant NQ course at Level 6
- Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
