HNC Working with Communities

SCQF Level 7

This course is ideal if you have experience of working in a Community Learning setting and wish to further develop your career.

This qualification will supplement your experience and can help you progress through work and/or study in the broad field of Community Learning and Development. An essential element of the programme involves a practical work placement experience in a real work setting.

One Year Full-time or Two Years Part-time/Evening

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • 2 Highers and 2 Standard Grades at Grade 1 or 2
  • Successful completion of a relevant NC course such as NC Working with Communities
  • Appropriate experience in a Community setting together with other qualifications can be considered by the curriculum head at an individual interview.

AND

  • Evidence is required to study at SCQF level 7.
  • Acceptable membership of the Government's PVG scheme is essential.
