HND 3D Computer Animation

SCQF Level 8

This course will develop your 3D Modelling and animation skills through the extensive use of industry leading software including 3D Studio Max, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Flash, Photoshop and Audition CS5.

Practical Projects

Students will undertake a group of projects designed to develop their practical and team-working skills. This will involve working to realistic client briefs whilst using industry standards, software and tools.

Students may have the opportunity to work on live briefs through work placements.

Duration and Attendance

Two Years Full-time

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • 2 Highers such as English, Computing, Art, Graphic Communication and 3 Standard Grades at Grade 3 or above
  • Applicants must demonstrate a portfolio of previous work
  • Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
