HND Applied Biological Sciences
If you wish to concentrate on Animal or Plant Biology, as opposed to the Molecular Biology offered in the Biomedical course, this course has been designed for you. Your studies can be tailored to focus on environmental issues or investigative aspects of Biology.

Duration and Attendance
One year full-time following completion of HNC Applied Sciences
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- HNC Applied Sciences
- Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
AND
- As part of the selection process there will also be an information session to meet with tutors
Further Study
2nd/3rd year entry of a BSc Honours degree at many Scottish universities. Once in employment students can continue to study on a part-time day release basis to obtain membership of the Institute of Biology.
