HND Applied Chemistry

SCQF Level 8

The HND has been developed to provide you with a thorough understanding of the principles of Chemistry combined with practical laboratory and experimental work that is essential experience for graduates entering employment.

  • Physical Chemistry
  • Practical Laboratory Skills

Duration and Attendance

One year full-time following completion of HNC Applied Sciences

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • HNC Applied Sciences
  • Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

AND

  • As part of the selection process there will also be an information session to meet with tutors

Further Study

2nd/3rd year of Honours degree programmes at many universities. We also have a unique link with St Andrews University where students can attend several classes at the University. This experience eases the transition into the degree course.
