HND Environmental Sciences

SCQF Level 8

This HND provides a great opportunity for you to develop and apply an integrated understanding of the environment. It covers a variety of subjects ranging from Ecology and Earth Science to Environmental Management and Analysis and includes both fieldwork and laboratory-based practical work.

  • Environmental Chemistry
  • Earth Sciences

Duration and Attendance

One year full-time following completion of HNC Applied Sciences

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • HNC Applied Sciences
  • Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

AND

  • As part of the selection process there will also be an information session to meet with tutors

Further Study

2nd/3rd year entry to BSc Honours degrees including Environmental Health at the University of Strathclyde and Environmental Science and Technology at Robert Gordon University.
