HND Interactive Media (incorporating Web Design and Development)
This is a new and exciting HND course intended for those who desire a career within the fast paced and dynamic environment of Interactive Media and Web Design and Development. The course will introduce students to key technologies required for both static and dynamic web site creation. Students will work with cutting edge software packages including Dreamweaver CS5, FlashCS5, Photoshop CS5 and 3D Max.
During the course learners will have access to industry developed curriculum and will also have the opportunity to undertake Adobe Certified Associate exams.
What You Study
- Rich Internet Applications Development
- Web Technologies including XHTML, CSS, Flex, Actionscript and Coldfusion
- Interactive Media content creation including 2D/3D animation techniques
- Interactive Audio Visual content creation
- Bitmap and vector graphics capture and manipulation
- Professional skills development such as Legal and Ethical issues and project management
- Web Server Management
Duration and Attendance
- Two Years Full-time or Four Years Part-time
- Day release and evening study options are available subject to demand
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- 1 Higher in a relevant subject and 4 Standard Grades at grade 2 or above
- Relevant NC course at level 6
- Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

- BSc Web Design and Development, Adam Smith College
- Degree level study at other institutions
