NQ Intermediate 1 and 2 Introduction to Nursing and Care Work

SCQF Level 4 - 5

This is a short full-time course for those who want to progress to further study in Care work and may be of interest to those returning to education or changing career as well as Christmas school leavers. This course will offer core skills, personal development and generic care modules that will provide a strong foundation for progressing onto other courses in one of our main campuses in September.

  • Accident and Emergency Procedures
  • Communication
  • Values and Principles in Care
  • Information Technology
  • Numeracy
  • Sociology and Psychology in Care

Duration and Attendance

Full-time (January – June)

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • 4 subjects at Intermediate 1/Foundation Standard Grade
  • Relevant experience will be considered on an individual basis for those without formal qualifications

  • NQ Pre-Access to Nursing
  • NQ Health and Care
