NC Art and Design Portfolio Level 5

SCQF Level 5

This new broad-based Art Portfolio course gives you an excellent grounding in the area of Visual Arts. If you have studied at Intermediate 2 Level and wish to progress to further study, or if you have Higher results and wish time over 2 years to prepare a substantial portfolio for entry to Art College or HND, this is the course for you. It is expected that on completion of this programme students will progress to the Art and Design Portfolio – Level 6 course.

  • Jewellery Design
  • Mixed Media
  • Textiles
  • Illustration
  • Drawing Skills (including Life Drawing)
  • 2D and 3D Design Skills
  • Painting Techniques

Duration and Attendance

One Year Full-time

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • 4 Standard Grades including Art and Design and English at Grade 4 or above
  • Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

AND

  • Suitable portfolio of Art and Design

Further Study

  • NC Art and Design Portfolio – Level 6
  • NC Graphic and Digital Design

Career Opportunities

On successful completion of this course, students will be ready to apply to NC Art and Design Portfolio – Level 6 course.
