NC Electrical and Electronic Engineering

SCQF Level 6

This course will supply the underpinning knowledge required for those wishing to move onto an Apprenticeship and for those wishing to move onto an HNC in Electrical Engineering or an HNC in Electronics.

  • Electrical Principles
  • Measurement
  • Test Equipment
  • Networks
  • Single Phase and Three Phase Principles

Duration and Attendance

One Year Full-time

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • 3 Standard Grades at Grade 3 or above in English, Maths and Technological Studies or Physics
  • Relevant NQ course
  • Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

AND

  • As part of the selection process there will also be an information session to meet with tutors

Further Study

On passing the course you can progress onto:

  • HNC Electrical Engineering
  • HNC Electronics
