NC Electrical Installation Pre-Apprentice

SCQF Level 5

If you are looking to become an Electrician this is the preparatory course for you. This course provides a broad introduction to Electrical Installation and includes an element of work experience.

  • Sockets and Lighting
  • Wiring Regulations
  • Electrical Technology
  • Work Experience

Duration and Attendance

One Year Full-time

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • 4 Standard Grades of which a minimum of 2 should be Credit Level and of which Maths and English are essential
  • Relevant industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered
  • Completed a course in a Level 5 NC in either Construction or Engineering

AND

  • Pass a pre-entry test

Further Study

  • SVQ Level 3 Service Electrical Installation (Modern Apprentice)
  • HNC/D Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Level 6 Electrical/Electronic Engineering
