NQ Intermediate 1 Introduction to Sport and Fitness

SCQF Level 4

This introductory programme will help you decide what career you wish to pursue while introducing you to the skills required within the Sport and Fitness industry. It will allow you to progress onto further education study programmes and improve career prospects in this field.

  • Fitness Related Activities
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Healthy Eating
  • Core Skills – Communication/Information Technology/Numeracy
  • Employability Skills
  • Outdoor Activities

Duration and Attendance

One Year Full-time

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • Minimum of 4 Standard Grades which must include English
  • Skills for Work Group Award in Sport and Fitness and Standard Grade English
  • Experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

AND

  • Attendance at group information session
  • Students must also be accepted as a PVG scheme member through the College system. Placements cannot be started without this (see Disclosure Scotland for more information about the Protection of Vulnerable Groups)
