NC Sport and Fitness
This course is designed to provide you with an understanding and knowledge, along with the vocational skills required to work within the industry: exercise and fitness, sports coaching, uniformed services, leisure attendants. This course will provide you with the under pinning knowledge required to progress to one of our level 6 courses.

- Anatomy and Physiology
- Nutrition, Health and Well-being
- Fitness and Exercise Training Methods
- Circuit Training
- Sporting Activities: Volleyball, Badminton
- Voluntary Work within the Community
- Core Skills – Communication/Information Technology/Numeracy
Duration and Attendance
Entry Requirements
- 4 Standard Grades at Level 3 or above including English or Intermediate 1 Communication at Grade C or above
- Reference to support your application
- Offer subject to successful outcome at recruitment day
OR
- Pass a Sport and Fitness related course at level 4 (13 credits)
- Reference to support your application
- Offer subject to successful outcome at recruitment day
AND
- Students must also be accepted as a PVG scheme member through the College system. Placements cannot be started without this (see Disclosure Scotland for more information about the Protection of Vulnerable Groups)
