NQ Computing Essentials

SCQF Level 4

This course has been designed for those with a basic knowledge of Computing and IT, but want a good grounding for employment and an opportunity to progress onto further qualifications.

  • Internet and Online Communications
  • Programming Fundamental Using Visual Basic
  • Multimedia: Images, Sound, Video and Animation
  • Communication and Numeracy
  • Team Building including Personal Development
  • Introduction to Computer Games Development

Duration and Attendance

Full-time (February–June)

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • Information Technology, Communication and Numeracy at Access Level 3
  • Work experience and/or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

Further Study

NQ Digital Media Computing – Level 5

Career Opportunities

The course equips students with skills which could be used in a wide variety of jobs, including those where a basic level of IT skills are required, including IT assistant.
