Highers Programme

SCQF Level 5 - 6

Year 1

This is the ideal starting point if you want to prepare to study for Highers. The one year full-time programme allows you to study four subjects at Intermediate 2 level or a combination of Higher and Intermediate 2. Some students may have to attend day and/or evening classes depending on subject choices.

Year 2

This one year full-time programme allows you to study three Highers or two Highers and one Intermediate 2. Some students may have to attend day and/or evening classes depending on subject choices.

Entry Requirements

An interview is an integral part of the recruitment process for this programme to determine course choices.

Year 1

Entry to this programme will require applicants to have gained 4 Standard Grades (at Grade 3 or above) or 4 passes at Intermediate 1 and/or 2.

Year 2

Entry to this programme will require 4 Standard Grades (at Grade 2 or above) or 4 passes in appropriate Intermediate 2s and/or Highers.

Please note:

entry into Higher subjects will normally require Intermediate 2 passes or Standard Grades at Credit Level in the appropriate subjects.
