SVQ Level 2 Children's Care Learning and Development
SCQF Level 5 - 6
This Level 2 SVQ is accepted for registration with the SSSC at support worker level for those working in Childcare or Early Years.
If undertaking this course full-time, you will spend approximately two days per week in College and three days per week in relevant workplace settings.

Topics relevant to working in Childcare and Early Years, including child protection and safe working.
Duration and Attendance
Entry Requirements
All applicants will be interviewed for this course. A written exercise will form part of this interview. All candidates will be required to demonstrate oral and written communication skills at SCQF Level 4. An acceptable Disclosure Scotland check is also mandatory.
The following is required:
- 4 Standard Grades including English at Grade 3 or above
OR
- Relevant work experience within the Care sector or alternative qualifications will be considered on an individual basis. Evidence will be required in the form of a reference and/or certificates
