SVQ Level 3 Hairdressing
If you have already qualified to SVQ Level 2, or to NC Hairdressing, or have five years experience working in a salon, this course is the ideal platform for future careers including senior stylist, salon supervisor, salon owner or trainer. As well as covering all aspects of salon work, this course includes taking part in a photo shoot and helping to organise a hair show. You will also attend technical seminars from visiting companies.
Employment would be an attribute to this course.

Duration and Attendance
- Approximately 18 Months Salon Based, Two Years Day Release – For those who are employed in the hairdressing industry. Apply for this course through your employer.
- One Year Full-time – Applications should be made direct to the college.
Please note: some classes may be held in twilight/evening sessions to fully utilise our Salon accommodation. Timetables will be issued prior to the course commencing.
Entry Requirements
- Students must have manual dexterity
- SVQ Level 2 Hairdressing or minimum of five years experience in employment in the Hairdressing industry
