Certificate Skills for Working in the Hair and Beauty Industry

SCQF Level 4

This introductory 18-week course is designed for those wishing to gain skills which could lead to joining the next intake of NC Hairdressing or NC Beauty Therapy.

You will study VTCT (Entry level award in an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty sector) as well as learning other essential skills.

You don't need any formal qualifications but must have good manual dexterity and people skills.

This qualification is an excellent introductory course for those looking for a profession in the Hair and Beauty Industry.

Duration and Attendance

18 Weeks Full-time, September – January, January – June

Please note: some classes may be held in twilight/evening sessions to fully utilise our Salon accommodation. Timetables will be issued prior to the course commencing.

Entry Requirements

  • A pleasant personality, a desire to work with people and manual dexterity are essential
  • Successful Skills Test and interview questionnaire need to be completed
