SWAP Access to Primary Teaching

SCQF Level 6

SWAP courses are designed for people who have been out of education for some time. This course can provide adults with the opportunity to gain qualifications and placement experience suitable to apply for the BEd Primary. Successful completion of the programme at the appropriate level can lead to a guaranteed place on an HNC/D or degree course at college or university. All SWAP students sit internal unit assessments, as well as being assessed on whole course performance at the end of the year, using a graded profile. Primary Education places will be dependent on high achievement in the profile, relevant work experience and an examination pass in Intermediate 2 Maths.
