VRQ Level 1 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle)
VRQs (Vocationally Related Qualifications) will give you a good grounding for working with light vehicles and is an excellent way to gain the essential knowledge required for progression to a Modern Apprenticeship in Scotland and start your career in the automotive industry.
What You Study
- Contribute to Workplace Good Housekeeping
- Workshop Processes, Methods and Vehicle Construction
- Carry Out Basic Routine Maintenance
- Remove and Replace Vehicle Chassis Units and Components
- Core Skills
Duration and Attendance
One Year Full-time – Three days per week
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- 3 Standard Grades at Grade 3 or above in English, Maths and a Science subject, preferably Physics
- Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
Please note all students will be required to complete an aptitude test and successful interview.
