VRQ Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle)

SCQF Level 5 - 6

VRQs (Vocationally Related Qualifications) will give you a good grounding for working with light vehicles and is an excellent way to gain the essential knowledge required for progression to a Modern Apprenticeship in Scotland and start your career in the automotive industry.

This Level 2 will build on the knowledge and skills gained in Level 1.

  • Good Housekeeping
  • Health and Safety
  • Positive Working Relations
  • Carry Out Routine Vehicle Maintenance
  • Remove and Replace Engine Units
  • Remove and Replace Electrical Units
  • Remove and Replace Chassis Units
  • Conduct Pre and Post Vehicle Inspections

Duration and Attendance

One Year Full-time – Three days per week

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • Successful completion of VRQ Level 1
  • Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

Please note all students will be required to complete an aptitude test and successful interview.
