VRQ Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle)
SCQF Level 5 - 6
VRQs (Vocationally Related Qualifications) will give you a good grounding for working with light vehicles and is an excellent way to gain the essential knowledge required for progression to a Modern Apprenticeship in Scotland and start your career in the automotive industry.
This Level 2 will build on the knowledge and skills gained in Level 1.
What You Study
- Good Housekeeping
- Health and Safety
- Positive Working Relations
- Carry Out Routine Vehicle Maintenance
- Remove and Replace Engine Units
- Remove and Replace Electrical Units
- Remove and Replace Chassis Units
- Conduct Pre and Post Vehicle Inspections
Duration and Attendance
One Year Full-time – Three days per week
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- Successful completion of VRQ Level 1
- Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
Please note all students will be required to complete an aptitude test and successful interview.
